We have tried a lot of different history curriculums since we first started homeschooling over six years ago.

I found Uncle Sam on Timberdoodle and decided to try it with Ella for her sixth-grade year this year.

Boy, am I happy we got this!

It is made so you can go through it at your own pace.

We go until it seems like a good place to stop, not necessarily a certain amount.

This curriculum teaches all about America's history, the government, and more.

We are currently in the chapter about the National Archives. Next up, we will go to the Veterans Day chapter.

Veteran's Day is important to us since my husband is a Veteran and so are so many in our families!

I love that all of the holidays are separated at the back of the book.

Separating them like that allows you to do those chapters as the holidays happen.

Since we are working on this curriculum at our own pace,

I like that I don't have to stress about getting to the holidays in time!

Every lesson has the reading part in the book and then the following activities.

*Thinking Biblically

*Creative Writing

*Vocabulary

*Research Assignment

*Draw or Photograph

*Reading Assignments in the handbook or literature book

*Assignments in the workbook

There are also family activities in every holiday chapter to complete. There is an additional section that includes instructions on all of the family projects!

Ella is enjoying Uncle Sam much more than she has other curriculums that teach about US history.

I would recommend this over and over!
